Jesus’ life is one hell of a life to replicate, no pun intended, but it sure is one hell of an achievement too to get close to the kind of life He lived. I cannot say anymore what I used to think was the case—tao lang ako; hindi ko kayang isabuhay ang buhay ni Kristo. Instead, now, it’s precisely because I am human that this act of replicating Jesus’ life and trying to bring life to others is a more blessed and beautiful experience—because Jesus was human when He did this, because I am human when I try to do this, because in spite of all the shortcomings in me, God’s grace is there to help me achieve my goal.
