narinig ko ang balita mula sa isang asosasyon ng Psychiatry dito sa Pilipinas na dumarami na ang kaso ng mga Pilipinong may sakit sa pag-iisip. una kong naisip na malamang-lamang dahil sa kahirapan ng buhay kaya sila nawala sa tamang pag-iisip[pagpasensyahan ang paggamit ko ng salitang tama. naniniwala akong walang patas na pamantayan para sabihing mali ang kanilang pag-iisip,ngunit para sa pagtatalakay na ito,hayaan nyong gamitin ang nasabing salita.]. tipong gutom na gutom na at walang matirhan ang unang pumasok sa isip ko. hindi nga naman kagulat-gulat dahil isa nga tayong mahirap at magulong bansa.malamang hindi lang puro mahihirap ang mga maysakit kaya sa tingin ko, hindi lamang kahirapan ang syang pangunahing dahilan ng pagdami ng mga maysakit sa pag-iisip.

kapag sinabi mo o kumalat sa kapitbahayan ang balitang pupunta ka sa isang psychiatrist, malamang-lamang pag-uusapan kang baliw.

isang salitang napakamapanghusga. sa tingin ko ito ang isang malaking salik sa pagdami ng mga maysakit. nagiging mapanghusga ang ating lipunan sa mga taong may kinakaharap na problema sa emosyonal na aspeto. tuloy nahihiya ang mga taong bumisita sa mga taong makatutulong sa kanila. kaya ayun--natuluyan na.

parang sa aids din yan e. nahihiya ang mga taong sabihin na may sakit kaya hindi na naaagapan o napapahaba nang kahit kaunti man lang ang kanilang buhay.

parang sa guidance lang din. nabubuo ang stereotype na 'pag na-guidance ka, isa kang pasaway,rebelde, bulakbol, patapon. hindi tuloy namamaximize[muli,pasensya na.di ko alam kung pano to ssabihin] ang mga serbisyo ng guidance sa mga paaralan.

marami pang mga sitwasyon na nalalagyan ng salitang "sana" dahil hindi naman natutuloy dahil sa panghuhusgang iniiwasan ng tao. marahil ang panghuhusgang ito rin ang tinatakbuhan ng mga nagkakasakit sa pag-iisip. marahil hinahanap nila ang sarap ng buhay na wala kang paki sa kung ano ang sasabihin ng iba. marahil mas malaya at mas masaya ang mga kapatid nating baliw.

minsan naiisip ko, paminsan-minsan, magpakabaliw naman tayo.
