maybe i'm a masochist. haha. see i've been liking theo lately(as if i've been taking it up for so long now) but yes, despite having edilberto jimenez as professor. actually i find nothing wrong about him--so far. haha. so see, we haven't really started theologizing and reading scriptures and interpreting them and asking ourselves how our personal faiths are faring. we are still laying certain foundations so hopefully we can do theology well. so we have been talking about certain philosophical stuff--how the human person is a knower who is forever burdened with that unanswered question and that God is the Holy Mystery we may sometimes be terrified of but in the end the only thing that we are actually most familiar with. i like listening to this despite being stupefied[word of the day, haha] because ironically i have to be stupefied to learn new stuff. it's so great listening to people's ideas and that they actually make sense. maybe i'll enjoy philo. i hope i will. and so i have a few scribbled-down notes from theo this morning...
our minds are finite and are therefore incapable of grasping the infinite Truth (but we transcend...we go beyond this incapability because it is our innate goal to go beyond. magis,eh?)
ironically, the people who are most alive are those who are about to die. (in best cases...again,very ironically.)
death makes us want life.
nothing in this world can seem to satisfy our infinite thirst for love except infinite Love.
we are in this world, but we are not of this world.
we take comfort in mystery because we know that there are things we don't know and that mystery may contain the answers to all our unanswered questions. maybe, it is the indirect answer to our questions. mas mabuti na marahil na di natin alam ang sagot pero alam nating may sagot kaysa wala talagang sagot.
i knew i loved you before i met you; i think i dreamed you into life~ (haha)
